Mike Tyson Virtual Boxing
Mike Tyson Virtual Boxing is a Virtual gambling game where the customer bets their money on how long an opponent can last in the ring with 'Iron' Mike Tyson. My role as 3D animator started with the motion capture shoot where I helped to plan the shoot and direct the actors. I had to clean the motion capture in MotionBuilder, I then had to exaggerate most punches and movements to make the boxing look more dynamic and exciting (because apparently it's immoral to make two boxers actually knock each other's teeth in for 2-3 straight days in a motion capture shoot). I imported the motion capture into Maya and animated the faces and eyes of both boxers and the referee using a custom rig made in-house; then more tweaks, alterations, and changes to make the fighting clip as interesting and as enjoyable as possible. With certain clips, I had to blend other motion capture clips together to create varied endings/outcomes.
The above video is the trailer for the product, but to view full fights you can go to betfred.com/virtual and select "Boxing" from the horizontal list of sports. Mike Tyson Virtual Boxing is available from other betting providers and sites.

I take no credit for animation that isn't my own. I take no credit for any modelling, rigging, texturing, lighting, preamble/2D graphics, audio, or crowd work in this product (however I was the actor in the mo-cap suit for all the crowd movements. There are thousands of me).
